2.0.0

  • New “analog” sound effects. The original sound effects were all stock sound effects. For this release, custom recordings were made for many of the sound effects. Several sounds have many variations, further adding to the realism.
  • New scoring scheme. There are new ways to earn bonus points, and you can also now lose points.

A “Bullseye” play is when the first word you find in a level is a six-letter word; this worth 30 points.

A “Deuce” play is when you spell two (or more) six-letter words in a level. You have to be lucky—most levels only have one six-letter word; this is worth +20 points.

A “Triple Play” is when you spell three words in four seconds; this is worth 15 points.

A “Grand Slam” is when you find all the words in a level; this is worth 10 points per word in the level.

In each level, you're permitted 3 incorrect guesses without a penalty. After that, you loose 5, 10, 15, ... for each successive incorrect guess.

  • A Word of the Day feature has been added, which shows a new and interesting 6-letter word each day. Study these, and it might help you advance past a level in your next game.
  • You can now listen to your iPod music while playing.
  • Online scoring.
